A Wealth of Insights With Ease
The TEK MSO44B sets new standards for Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes (MSO), combining performance, flexibility, and ease of use. Its upgraded processor ensures faster operation and precise measurements with industry-leading vertical resolution. The innovative FlexChannel technology allows each of the four inputs to function as an analog channel, eight digital logic inputs (with a TLP058 probe), or provide simultaneous analog and spectrum views with independent controls. Simple and easy to use features like the stacked display mode enhances accuracy by dedicating a slice of the display to each waveform, utilizing the full ADC range. In addition, the results bar offers quick access to tools like cursors, automated measurements, and statistics, simplifying analysis. The TEK MSO46B oscilloscope also includes the following standard analysis and triggers:
Standard Analysis:
Cursors: Waveform, V Bars, H Bars, V&H Bars
Measurements: 36
FastFrame: Segmented memory acquisition mode with
maximum trigger rate >5,000,000 waveforms per secondPlots: Time Trend, Histogram, and Spectrum
Math: Basic waveform arithmetic, FFT, and advanced equation editor
Search: Search on any trigger criteria
Standard Tigger Types:
Edge, Pulse Width, Runt, Timeout, Window, Logic, Setup & Hold,
Rise/Fall Time, Parallel Bus, Sequence, Visual Trigger
(Optional: Video, RF vs. Time)Auxiliary Trigger ≤300 VRMS (Edge Trigger only)
Spectrum View
Only Spectrum View provides both exceptional ease-of-use and the ability to achieve simultaneous observation in both time- and frequency-domain views of the input signal. Traditionally, performing RF measurements, such as RF Channel Power (CHP), Adjacent Channel Power Ratio (ACPR), and Occupied Bandwidth (OBW), required a dedicated spectrum or signal analyzer or spectrum analyzer software. Available standard with Spectrum View, integrated RF Measurements on each channel saves users time, bench space, and costs with the ability to validate RF transmitter CHP, ACPR, and OBW directly on the oscilloscope.

Digital Phosphor Technology with FastAcq
Digital phosphor technology with FastAcq provides you with fast insight into the real operation of your device. Its fast waveform capture rate - greater than 500,000 waveforms per second - gives you a high probability of seeing the infrequent problems common in digital systems: runt pulses, glitches, timing issues, and more. To further enhance the visibility of rarely occurring events, intensity grading indicates how often rare transients are occurring relative to normal signal characteristics.
PC-Based Analysis and Remote Connection
Analyze waveforms anywhere, anytime. The basic license lets you view and analyze waveforms, perform many types of measurements and decode the most common serial buses - all while remotely accessing your oscilloscope. Advanced license options add capabilities such as multi-scope analysis, more serial bus decoding options, power measurements, automotive measurements and aerospace measurements.

Industry-leading Vertical Resolution
Discover enhanced signal clarity. The 4, 5, and 6 Series MSOs incorporate 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), delivering 16 times greater vertical resolution compared to standard 8-bit ADCs. Additionally, the innovative High Res mode enhances vertical resolution further by intelligently filtering out noise. This mode guarantees a minimum of 12 bits and can achieve up to 16 bits of vertical resolution.
Tek049 ASIC Chip
Tektronix developed a custom design that meets the high standards of performance and integration required by today's engineers. Each ADC channel utilizes an interleaved Successive Approximation Register (SAR) architecture, featuring 4 advanced ADCs, a high-speed memory interface, a fast communication bus, trigger circuitry, logic analysis capabilities, display formatting, rasterization, and other digital signal processing (DSP) elements. The new 12-bit ADC delivers a 25% faster sample rate per channel compared to earlier oscilloscopes in its class.

4 Series B MSO - Adapts to Virtually Any Testing Challenge
The Tektronix 4 Series B MSO redefines bench oscilloscopes with advanced performance, analysis capabilities, and an intuitive user interface. Perfect for debugging embedded systems and power converters, this second-generation device features a faster processing platform, doubling responsiveness and expediting data transfers while supporting remote operation. Available with 4 or 6 FlexChannel inputs, it offers synchronized multi-channel spectrum analysis for noise hunting and RF measurements, and precise 12-bit sampling. Each channel can display analog waveforms, perform spectrum analysis, or be converted into 8 logic channels for up to 48 digital logic inputs. Standard tools include segmented memory, waveform histograms, and visual triggering, with options for a 50 MHz function generator, serial protocol decoding, and power analysis. Smart probes broaden its versatility for various applications.
