The General Wire SL-GXP-D is a Gen-Eye X-POD Plus video pipe inspection system package consisting of the GPX-500 command module with sunshield, Gen-Pack battery adapter, Wi-Fi transmitter, SL-M-GL-200 mini-reel with mini-self-leveling color camera, 1- and 3-inch trap skids, GL-100 Hot Spot pipe locator, 8GB flash drive, and AC and DC power cords in an accessory pouch.

The X-POD Plus series makes recording and sharing inspections easier. You can record videos and photos on a flash drive using the USB port or send the recording to your customers via your smartphone or tablet with the built-in Wi-Fi transmitter.

The on-screen distance counter shows how far the camera has traveled down a line – in feet or meters. And for optimum accuracy, settings can be adjusted for full-size or mini-reel configurations. The on-screen date and time stamp allows you to document the date and time of each job for your records.

The lightweight, popular X-POD systems combine camera, reel, and monitor into one compact package. A durable docking arm supports the Command Module – and permits height and angle adjustments for optimal viewing.

Big Capacity Reels

The compact Mini-Reel carries 200 ft. of Gel-Rod with mini color self-leveling camera for troubleshooting 2-inch and 3-inch lines. The full-size reel (sold separately) features a self-leveling color camera and 200 ft. Gel-Rod for inspecting 3-inch to 10-inch drain lines. The rugged steel frames and reels include a drag brake and reel lock. The full-size reels sport 10-inch wheels.

GL-100 Hot Spot Pipe Locator

The GL-100 Gen-Eye Hot-Spot pipe locator makes locating easy. Its total field antenna array and on-screen icons lead you right to your target, without the long learning curve.

Whether you’re an experienced pro or a first-time user, you can quickly locate inspection cameras, sondes, active power lines, and utility lines with pinpoint accuracy.

The easy-to-see auto-backlit LCD screen shows you the way with arrows that point you in the right direction every time. Utility line location and active buried power line locating are just as easy. And there’s no need to interpret numbers and bar graphs.

The Hot-Spot pipe locator is the industry’s most rugged locator. Rated at IP65, it is dust and dirt-proof, and water-resistant. It passed the one-meter drop test and the screen passed the 18-inch steel ball drop test.

Gel-Rod Push Rods

The patented Gel-Rod push rod withstands tough abuse in the line. The Gel in the cable keeps the moisture away from the wires if it’s ever cut or abraded. The dual layer/dual color construction lets you see cable wear so it can be repaired before it becomes a problem. The Kevlar braid, fiberglass core, and durable sheath provide for maximum pushing and pulling power.

Advanced Skid Designs

Skids keep the camera centered in the pipe for a better view while reducing drag on longer runs. The mini-reel system includes 1- and 3-inch trap skids that protect the camera from abrasion as it slides through cast iron traps.

Self-Leveling Camera

The self-leveling camera automatically keeps the picture right side up as the camera glides through the line. The mini-camera is 1.125-inches in diameter with 4 super bright white LEDs to illuminate 2- to 4-inch lines.
