When you need a low strength, silicone-based formed-in-place gasketing product designed for use on flexible flanges with machined or cast surfaces (metal or plastic), then LOCTITE® SI 5910 is a great choice. It is suitable for gaps up to 1 mm and offers a cure-through volume (in 24 h) of 2.75 mm. Typical applications include stamped sheet metal covers (timing covers and oil sumps). The thixotropic nature of LOCTITE® SI 5910® reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate - allowing for reliable quality control e.g. in dispensing automation as well as manual applications.
