LOCTITE® NS 5550 is a thermally activated sealing compound that is specifically designed for use in high temperature and high-pressure environments. These products cure in the presence of heat to form a mechanical seal on metalto-metal flanges and fittings, and are designed to allow for disassembly for future maintenance and repairs. It can also be used as a gasket dressing to augment traditional gaskets and extend their useful life. Suitable for sealing steam, hydrocarbons, gases and other process fluids in high pressure, high temperature environments such as those found in power generation facilities, pulp and paper mills, mines, oil and gas refineries, etc.
