9140-D-156 Calibrator Overview

Dry-wells are compact, adaptable, and ideal for extensive calibrations. The 9140 Mid-Range Field Calibrator, with a temperature range of 35 C to 350 C, is a portable device for calibrating thermocouple and RTD temperature probes. It's lightweight at 6 lbs. and easy to calibrate without having to open the case, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

The temperature is accurately controlled by Fluke's Hart hybrid analog/digital controller. The controller uses a precision platinum RTD as a sensor and controls the well temperature with a solid state relay (triac) driven heater.

The 9140 Calibrator also includes Interface-it software which allows technicians to adjust set-points and ramp rates, log dry-well readings, create electronic strip charts, and conduct thermal switch testing with data collection.

9100 Series Field Dry-Well Calibrators

This series of dry-well units outperform all other comparable models in terms of performance, size, weight, convenience, calibration ease, software features, and price. Additionally, their heating and cooling rates can be adjusted from the front panel, and they support actuation testing through thermal switches. The units also accommodate various probe sizes with multiple-hole inserts (A, B, C, D).

Models are:

  • 9103: -25 C to 140 C (-13 F to 284 F)
  • 9140: 35 C to 350 C

Inserts are:

  • Insert A (variety block): 1/2 in, 1/4 in, 3/8 in, 3/16 in, 1/8 in, and 1/16-inch holes
  • Insert B (comparison block): 2 each 3/8 in, 2 each 1/4 in, and each 3/16-inch holes
  • Insert C (1/4-inch comparison block): 6 of 1/4-inch holes
  • Insert D (comparison block): 2 each at 3 mm, 4 mm, and 6 mm
