Our 3M™ CBN Wheel 164PK is used to generate the flute which is the helical or straight groove in the body of the cutting tools made of tool steel and high speed steel. This polyimide bonded wheel offers high cut rates, good form retention, and increased thermal stability during higher temperature grinding operations.

Built to Take the HeatThe 3M™ CBN Wheel 164PK line uses a polyimide bond system which offers increased thermal stability compared to the phenolic resin bond systems. This allows 164PK to grind at higher cut rates and maintain form under higher temperature grinding conditions where phenolic resin bond systems undergo thermal and chemical deterioration.
