The USB-1208HS-4AO is a high-speed analog input and digital I/O data acquisition device featuring 8 SE/4 DIFF analog inputs, 13-bit resolution, 1 MS/s sample rate, up to four analog outputs, 16 digital I/O, and one 32-bit counter. It can acquire analog input data in two basic modes – software paced and hardware paced.

The device is powered by the +5 volt USB supply from your computer, and requires no external power. The USB-1208HS-4AO is a USB 2.0 high-speed device supported under popular Microsoft Windows operating systems. It is compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports (although the speed of the module maybe limited when using USB 1.1 ports).

USB-1208HS Series Overview

USB-1208HS Series devices are low-cost, 13-bit devices that offer four differential (DIFF) or eight single-ended (SE) analog inputs, 16 digital I/O channels, two counter inputs, and one timer output. A digital trigger lets you start analog input or output conversions. The USB-1208HS-2AO includes two analog outputs and the USB-1208HS-4AO includes four analog outputs.

Software support includes free DAQami software for out-of-the-box data logging, viewing of data, and generating signals. Also freely available are drivers for the most popular applications and programming languages including Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual Basic.NET, DASYLab, LabVIEW, Linux, and Python.
