EFD's Optimum® Clear Flex Syringe Barrel Pistons

Clear Flex pistons are molded from low-density polyethylene which provides flexibility to reduce bouncing in viscious fluids while maintaining excellent wall-wiping. They are ideal for applications that require high-viscosity fluids to be dispensed at high pressures and/or high cycle rates. Since these materials require numerous air pressure pulses to dispense small amounts, this can cause air entrapment. The clear flex pistons conteract this, flexing with each deposit to create a tighter seal as air pulses and preventing air from getting pushed past the wipers. The leading wiper blocks air, acting like a secondary seal for accurate, consistent deposits every time.
