RoHS Directive is an acronym for "the restriction of
the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and
electronic equipment". This directive will ban new
electrical and electronic equipment exceeding the specificed
levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated
biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)
flame retardants from being placed on the European Union
market as of July 1st, 2006. |
